Three Nigerians to participate in Microsoft Computer contest

Three Nigerian pupils would join their counterparts from other parts of the world for the 2016 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship holding in Florida, the United States, from August 7 to 10.

The participants are Katherine Eta, Atafo Abure and Abdullah Usman. While Eta and Abure are pupils of The Childville School, Ogudu, Lagos, Usman is of Aduvie International School, Abuja.

The pupils came top in PowerPoint 2013, Excel 2013 and Word 2013 during a competition that was conducted for 300 pupils that same from 22 secondary schools in Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Rivers, Osun, Niger States and the Federal Capital Territory.

Having won the Nigerian national competition, a test that was conducted by ReadManna Ventures Ltd, the pupils would proceed to the global competition to test their skills in computing.Chief Executive Officer of Readmanna, Mrs. Edna Agusto, said the head of Information Communication and Technology unit of school that top the competition in Nigeria would join the trip to US.

Hence, Mrs. Rukayat Adebayo of The Childville School would join the trip.
